
Kathy was a partner in a Thames Valley law firm in the United Kingdom before relocating to Australia, where she was a special counsel at Minter Ellison in Sydney. She then moved to Brisbane in 2006 and became a partner of a national firm before setting up Coote’s Legal in 2007.
With a science degree background, Kathy worked in clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry for many years before re-qualifying as a lawyer. This commercial and scientific experience helps her to understand the business and commercial needs of our clients and enables her to provide practical solutions to complex legal issues.
Although clients come from a diverse range of industry sectors, Kathy offers particular expertise to clients in the ICT, technology, biotechnology, medical devices and pharmaceutical industries, as well as to clients who are seeking IT and technology solutions for their businesses. In addition, her knowledge and experience of English and European Community law proves invaluable when advising clients on multiple jurisdictional matters.
